Last year I posted some pretty awesome pictures in Fall from Maryland.
If you missed them, you can get your Fall fix HERE.
Yesterday I took a new photo buddy to one of my favorite CVNP parks, Blue Hen Falls.
We got there as the sun just started setting and snapped everything we could till dark.
I absolutely love my life. I love the crazy, undetermined path I’m always on.
And I can’t pass up a beautiful experience, such as this.
This year I went a bit crazy and financed a four wheeler. There isn’t too many places to go where I live, so when we got invited to Deep Creek Maryland, there was no passing up the chance! If I could use one word to describe the entire trip, it would be “Spoiled”! Our friend’s let us stay in a beautiful cabin they had reserved for the anniversary! We stopped at Swallow Falls State Park, which by the way was packed with people with either the Fall Foilage lovers and/or the national parks being shut down and closed. This park had a lot of damage from Storm Sandy, but was still breath taking. I have been four wheeling in some pretty places, but riding in the mountains here was just absolutely perfect. I’ve never had so much fun, let alone I had my camera strapped on my quad! Best trails, best views and a chance to capture it all! Great trip and will be going back in the future!
A business trip put me in the Louisville, and I really enjoyed the city. The first thing that stopped me in my tracks was a beautiful hummingbird moth. (Ended up seeing them twice in the city!) I wandered down to the 21 C museum, which I highly recommend. Great little town, grateful for the experience.
I sometimes travel for work, and I’ll have to be honest I’m over Elkhart, IN. So this last trip, I decided to head up to Michigan and check out ” The Dunes” You can imagine how surprised I was, to find out that Weko Beach was a rock beach…… on sand dunes? Right? Totally confusing, but incredibly pretty. Rock beaches and I go back. From being a toddler to now, ” I pocket rocks”. I have many rock collections and just love them!
Sometimes life takes you away from home. The big picture becomes clearer. Things come together. And lifes journey is aligned. New path or old. It always makes perfect sense.
I’m always up for something new, so I love that my friend Charlotte invited me to help with her family’s maple syrup production. I had recently upgraded my camera, so I was even more excited to get outdoors. You can see they take their maple syrup pretty serious, and I love all of the different tools and equipment they have. Afterwards, we had fresh corn bread with fresh syrup and boy did that hit the spot!
